Calendar Stamp

Every month there will ever be, in one stamp.

Twelve small rubber pieces slot onto a brass plate. Rearrange them, and any month takes shape — this June, next February, a month ten years from now. The 29, 30 and 31 come away when a month doesn't need them, and the Sunday "S" can move to the other end for weeks that begin on Monday. Then one press, and a calendar appears wherever you want one: the corner of a notebook page, a planner spread, a party invitation, the back of a card marking a date worth remembering.

The tool itself is made to stay. The plate is solid brass and the handle is turned walnut — both materials that don't wear out so much as grow character, deepening in tone the longer they sit on a desk and pass through hands. A small zip bag keeps the resting pieces together.

Not a calendar you replace each year, but one you compose, month by month, for as many years as you like.
